Project Manager (Freelance)

For the Mill Girls & Militants Heritage Lottery funded programme. 

Fee:  £5000 (£125pd x 40 days)

Hours:  2 days per week, flexible working

Period of contract: Fixed term (July/August 2018 – February 2019)

Ludus Dance is interested to hear from professionals with at least three years experience managing arts, heritage and/or participatory programmes with a strong community focus.

Mill Girls & Militants is a Heritage Lottery funded programme, with additional support from Preston City Council and Lancashire County Council. The proposed project will see a number of professionals (dance artists, choreographer, film maker, costume designer and heritage specialists) work with a range of partners between July/August 2018 and February 2019, to develop an innovative heritage project around the suffrage movement in Lancashire.

Lead Dance Practitioner x3 (freelance)

For the Mill Girls & Militants Heritage Lottery funded programme. 

Fee:  £3000 (£200pd x 15 days) & £300 travel expenses

Period of contract: Fixed term (July/August 2018 – February 2019)

Ludus Dance are seeking to recruit three exceptional freelance dance practitioners to take the lead in the development of the Mill Girls & Militants, Heritage Lottery funded programme.

We are particularly interested to hear from female artists, with experience of delivering high quality arts, heritage and/or participatory programmes with a strong community focus.

The proposed project will see a number of professionals (dance artists, choreographer, film maker, costume designer and heritage specialists) work with a range of partners between July/August 2018 and February 2019, to develop an innovative heritage project around the suffrage movement in Lancashire.

Costume Designer (freelance)

Period of contract: Fixed term from August – October 2018

Ludus Dance are seeking to recruit a costume designer to work on the Mill Girls & Militants, Heritage Lottery funded programme.

We are interested to hear from individuals with significant experience in designing/making/sourcing costumes for historical programmes and working with members of the local community.

The proposed project will see a number of professionals (dance artists, choreographer, film maker, costume designer and heritage specialists) work with a range of partners between July/August 2018 and February 2019, to develop an innovative heritage project around the suffrage movement in Lancashire.

Filmmaker (freelance)

Period of contract: Fixed term (July/August 2018 – February 2019)

Ludus Dance are seeking to recruit a filmmaker to work on the Mill Girls & Militants, Heritage Lottery funded programme.

We are interested to hear from individuals with significant experience in documentary film making and developing digital work for VR.

The proposed project will see a number of professionals (dance artists, choreographer, film maker, costume designer and heritage specialists) work with a range of partners between July/August 2018 and February 2019, to develop an innovative heritage project around the suffrage movement in Lancashire.

Choreographer (freelance)

Fee:  £1250 (£250pd x 5 days) + travel and accommodation

Period of contract: Fixed term (August – September 2018)

Ludus Dance are seeking to recruit an experienced choreographer to develop the core element of the mass dance performance for the Mill Girls & Militants, Heritage Lottery funded programme.

We are particularly interested to hear from female choreographers, with experience in developing choreographic work with a strong heritage focus and a mixed cast of abilities and ages.

The proposed project will see a number of professionals (dance artists, choreographer, film maker, costume designer and heritage specialists) work with a range of partners between July/August 2018 and February 2019, to develop an innovative heritage project around the suffrage movement in Lancashire.
