We are looking for a highly skilled and pro-active Dance Development Officer (DDO) to take the lead in directing our North West flagship youth dance company LYDC, support talent development across the North West and develop and deliver high quality dance initiatives across Lancashire and beyond.
Forming part of a small but dynamic creative team, the Dance Development Officer (DDO) will work closely with the Artistic Director/CEO to develop and maintain existing programmes of activity – primarily aimed at children and young people and for people and places of least engagement.
The DDO will have the skills to engage meaningfully with a diverse range of people from all sections of the community, connecting with people new to dance as well as experienced professionals.
In addition to managing and fundraising for new projects, the DDO will also respond to project inquiries, providing the client with a project outline tailored to their needs and budget. The DDO will also be responsible for contracting and managing freelance artists.
Salary: Up to £21,280 pro rata (under review) depending on experience.
Hours: 22.5 hours (3 days per week) flexible.
*Plus an additional option of 7.5 hours for 12 months
Period of contract: Permanent
