What we are looking for
We are seeking proposals from emerging and/ or established dance professionals looking to either kick-start or initiate a step change in their artistic career. Whilst we are open to emerging professionals from across the North West, we are particularly interested to hear from those based in, or originating from the Great Place Lakes and Dales focus areas (North Lancashire, South Lakes and Craven).
We also welcome proposals by those self-identifying as being from an under represented group or community, including women of colour, queer, non-binary, transgender and disabled artists. We would also like to hear from those whose work explores the intersection between performance and participatory practices and rural engagement.
How to apply
There is an online application form, which can be found here – https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/C59RDJC
We will also accept proposals in a number of other formats (e.g. film, visual, written proposal). Keep written proposals to 500 words and filmed versions to 2.5 minutes. If this is your chosen method, please email us and we will send you the questions.
Completed proposals can be sent to info@ludusdance.org (or submitted online if done electronically).
Deadline for proposals – Friday 5th April 2019, 12pm
Shortlisted artists will be informed by 5pm on that Friday and invited to attend an interview (either in person, phone or skype) on Wednesday 10th April 2019.
If you would like more information please give us a call on 01524 35936.
In 2019 our Occupied Associate Artist Scheme will be supported by Great Place Lakes and Dales.
