As the New Year begins, here at Ludus Dance we wanted to take a moment to look back at our Borderlines pilot that we delivered post-pandemic. The project was designed as a 7-week creative traineeship for young people aged 16-24 who were struggling to engage and/or progress through traditional education systems.
Borderlines provided support and direction for the future by placing young people in a creative environment where they could learn to trust themselves. One student we worked with was Daisy, who had been disengaged in education for some years. Watch the video to hear what she has to say about the experience.
Borderlines returns in 2024 thanks to funding from the UKSPF Levelling Up Fund. Ludus Dance will run two intensive programmes for young people aged 14 – 24 and hope to support up to 20 individuals. If you know of a young person or friend who’s child is struggling to go to school, college or find employment – ask them to drop us a line. Places onto our Borderlines programme are secured by referrals only, for further information contact rachel.deadman@ludusdance.org
