Experienced Associate Artist 2.5 Days £30k (pro rata)
We are offering a progressive, reciprocal relationship with Ludus Dance.
Recent, in-depth experience of the following is essential:
- A meaningful knowledge and understanding of Ludus Dance’s methodology and practice
- Facilitating and Mentoring young people within their creative journey/career.
- Dance performance
- Project/contract management
Some experience of the following is essential:
- Medium to large scale production
- Lighting, set design and film production/editing
We are offering up to 2 1/2 days per week, with at least 2 x days in Lancaster per week (excluding Fridays). Either Tuesdays or Wednesdays will be essential. At times significant flexibility will be required for this role. 18 months commitment (approx) in the first instance.
We need someone who is excellent at working as a team member, thinking on their feet and making decisions accurately and quickly, and who wants to further develop their career with us and the young people we work with.
You will support and mentor our young people to navigate the pathways through the wider industry, potential opportunities and partnerships they and we can make as an organisation, and help us with our practical deep dive into the future of community dance via our year long celebration of 50 years of Ludus Dance during 2025.
We offer to support you to further develop with Ludus Dance should you wish, within specified or general aspects of the nitty gritty of running an arts organisation, and get you (even more) ready to take on a future as a creative leader in dance (and beyond), should this be of interest to you. - Marketing and Communications
- Creative and structural project management
- People management
- Financial management
